  • Municipal real estate transactions for the sale, lease or purchase of land or buildings.

Preeminent Public Construction and Infrastructure Practice Group

Our Public Construction and Infrastructure Practice Group is recognized at the state and national level for our expertise, judgment and savvy in handling a broad variety of public construction disputes. We represent public owners at all stages of the public construction process, in both vertical and horizontal construction projects. Our past and present clients include over 30 cities, towns, school districts, water and sewer districts, and public agencies whom we have represented in litigation involving a variety of issues, including:

  • Contractual disputes arising from the bidding process

  • Claims alleging changed circumstances or scope of work

  • Claims in quantum meruit to recover disputed contract balances

  • Claims seeking liquidated damages for delay

  • Claims for breach of contract arising from default by contractors

  • Negotiating and enforcement of intermunicipal litigation over allocation of shared public infrastructure costs and services.
